You can fit this design on a wide quarter of 36, 40, or 46ct linen. When stitching on 36ct linen, you will only have a 2-inch border on the short side of the fabric. When stitching on 40ct linen, you will only have a 2.5-inch border on the short side of the fabric.

Test a small sample if you intend to wash, esp darker colours. It has been rinsed and set carefully and should be colourfast - but always better safe than sorry.
