Hi,
I’m Kerri. A mother, partner, wife, lover of all things colourful, and the brand creator behind Roxy Floss Co. I’m the passionate dyer and maker of Roxy Floss Co. products
It’s been a long road to a dream come true. Most of my education and work life has tended to lean toward the creative. Even as a young person – a Northern Ontario girl from the Lakehead - I loved crafting, colour, drawing, painting and fibre arts. In college, my program started in Interior Design and morphed to a diploma in Business Marketing. My work life began in the fashion industry where I learned my initial management skills through fashion retail that ended as store manager. With a segue in my late 20s back to university, I majored in Visual Arts - Art History & Criticism with a focus on 17th and 18th Italian painting - did someone say “chiaroscuro?”.
Since that time, my work life has been dominated by my entrepreneurial and creative endeavours. I started this chapter of life, nearly 20 years ago, designing and making sports clothing and accessories for artistic gymnastics and power cheerleading. But ever the crafter, I transitioned to a work life fully immersed in the crafting industry as both a maker and retailer of yarn and accessories for knitting, crochet, weaving and stitching. As part of this path came the vision for Roxy Floss Co. Initially operating as indie-dyers of yarn, Roxy Floss Co grew and diverged, and I now focus entirely toward the creation of floss, linen and designs for stitchers everywhere.
I’m crazy excited to be working with Caroline and the Evertote crew to bring our creative dreams to life. I hope my colours and designs inspire you to be creative too!
