All of us make mistakes - and I am certainly not without them. This design was made as an apology after missing an appointment with a small group of stitchers and subsequently meeting them the next day. I hope they’ve forgiven me...

I’ve always liked this quote by the 18th-century poet, translator and satirist Alexander Pope. It’s been quoted many times since its original appearance in 1711 - but my favourite is probably Maggie Smith’s, delivered with stern brilliance in ‘Sister Act’.
