Looking for floss and fabric suggestions? We suggest stitching this on Roxy Floss Co Arrowroot Linen
A wide quarter is enough on all linen counts. On 28ct linen, you will only have a 2.25 inch border on the short side of the fabric. On 46ct, you can fit this on a wide eighth, but you will only have a 2.5 inch border on the short side of the fabric.

From the Designer:
In December 2023, two brightly-coloured, late 19th-century samplers came at auction that caught my eye. They were worked by two sisters, apparently side-by-side, as they were both dated 1890 and are very similar in style. I immediately fell in love with the cheerful colours and the lovely composition with the bold borders these two sisters stitched. Despite their late age, they worked very traditional motifs on their samplers, showing no influence of the fashions of late 19th-century tapestry and woolwork patterns. Were it not for the chemically dyed wool threads, these samplers could have also been stitched in the 18th century!
