There are three different colour palette options for this chart:
- "Three Colour" Version: Berry Queen, French Vanilla, Artichoke
- "Back" Version: Thursday, Lipstick, Rust in Time, Raspberry Puree, Morganite, Little Green, Asparagus, Spinach
- "Front" Version: Sugar Plum, Lipstick, Geranium, Raspberry Puree, Pinky Promise, French Vanilla, Mustardseed, Dirty Martini

If you are stitching this design on 28, 32, or 36ct linen, you will need a wide quarter.
If you are stitching this design on 40ct linen, you can fit this on a wide eighth, but you will only have a 2.5 inch border on the short side of the fabric.
If you are stitching this design on 46ct linen, you will need a wide eighth.

From the Designer:
An unknown Dutch stitcher with the initials HS worked this charming sampler – possibly in the province of Friesland – in the year 1850. This would not have been her first sampler and was likely worked by a girl or young woman in her spare time as a decoration for her home.
The original sampler was stitched in 8 different colours of embroidery wool and was stitched in perfect symmetry. The border contained no errors, and all motifs were stitched very evenly and neatly, something quite rare for a young stitcher on her first sampler.
This pattern is charted for the original 8 colours as seen on the front and back of the sampler, and has instructions to stitch the 3-colour version as seen in the artwork.
